Church and city gathering image for Awakening Hope

Overview

Faith, compassion, and active participation.

Berlin's homelessness crisis is urgent, visible, and often unspoken. Awakening Hope mobilizes churches, beginning with international congregations, to respond through care, advocacy, and partnership.

The aim is a Berlin where churches and local institutions work together toward housing, healthcare, employment, and community support.

Current status: praying with people from different churches and sharing this initiative with others to awaken people to view this crisis.

Phases

A growing movement through trusted relationships.

01

International Churches

The first step focuses on international churches in Berlin as residents and stewards of the city.

02

Cultural Networks

Members of international churches extend this vision to broader cultural and linguistic communities, allowing the movement to grow organically through trusted relationships.

03

German Partners

The project connects with German churches and local organizations already experienced in homelessness work.

Goal

A city-wide movement of hope.

To inspire a city-wide church movement that brings hope, transformation, and community restoration to Berlin.
